Polar Opposites, Part 2
03.03.2010
Unlike the last outfit post, these two outfits were designed with the same city in mind. The similarities end there:

I had Hel Looks on the brain when I put this together. Cozy with a pop of color! I think Helsinki may be my dream city.

I may start dressing like this every day. Stretch pants are the new laying in bed all day.
scarf - Holy-G
hat - wholesaler
cardigan - vintage
shirt - H&M
pants - Samantha Pleet for UO (makin my butt look all big(ger))
tights - from a U Bahn stop in Berlin
shoes - Jeffrey Campbell
And yes, that is my vintage Coach backpack purse that is pretty much the greatest thing since sliced bread.

And I wore this for Caulen's birthday potluck (I came downstairs to ask him if he'd be embarassed if I wore this, because sometimes I embarass him with my "flair"). I was feeling terrible, but this dress definately helped. It fits like a glove!

And I managed to ruin these tights that night. First time wearing them, too. Does anyone else have the same problem with little dot tights? They just don't last! I may bury them in my back yard and say a few words. Maybe a stocking tree will grow.
dress - vintage
tights - modcloth
shoes - 80%20
Do you like our new living room? I finally decorated it! It's a shame we're probably moving cross-country soon (WHAT?).

Oooh! Cross country where to!
I always ruin any sheer tights in one wear so I've stopped buying cute sheer ones.

Your living room is awesome. I can't wait until Dan and I have our own place. We're going to totally decorate it with walls of books and thrift store finds:) But right now we'd have to move it all repeatedly since we rent.
Okay, so I love both outfits, especially the second one. That dress is so cool. I have two that if they were combined might make something like it...does that make any sense at all? You also always rock the coolest shoes.

Comfort never ceases to be awesome! Do your stockings in the first look have little kissy lips on them or am I seeing things?
And the pattern on the vintage dress is awesome. i'm trying to remember where I saw something similar. I think it was in this pink 50s house that was for sale just after we'd purchased our place.
Cross country move?? Why for?
