Ice Skating!
03.05.2010

Last night, Caulen and I went on a date to PPG Place (Caulen built their website, actually!), where they set up an ice rink during the winter months.
Neither of us are very good at skating, but the rink closes for the year on Sunday, so if we wanted to at least try to improve, we were running out of time (especially because we may be living in Cali this time next year).

The rink was pretty empty (even though the weather was nice!) so we (against our better judgement) attempted a photoshoot while careening around in circles.

And it was an extra special occasion because Caulen wore the wool cowl/neck warmer I made for him last year. I've gotten a lot better, so it sort of looked terrible in comparison to what I make now. Didn't tell him that though, he looked cute!
Please bear with me on this one, I don't know what happened. How on EARTH do you get a blurry picture on a 12 megapixel camera without cropping it?
Caulen found a way.

This outfit was actually really cute, but all the layers I had to add to not have to wear a coat made it incredibly bulky. Oh well! I'm not adding this to any outfit groups though. It's not my best work.
hat - ophelie hats
cardigan - modcloth
dress - modcloth
tie neck sweater - tulle
tights - ASOS
knee socks - ASOS
belt - gabes
gloves - tulle

All and all it was a very successful date night!
And it's finally Friday! Any plans for the weekend?

Ice rinks are infinitely better when you have them to yourselves. Lucius and I went to our local indoor one and apart from a 70 year old double bypass Irish speed skater who was adamant technology would ruin the world we had the place to ourselves and it rocked.
That place looks magical though. I would love to have an outdoor skating rink for winter! You'd never get me off it.
You two are cute. I want to smish you both!
